Recent World-First Technologies in the Electric Motor Industry
Every breakthrough in motor technology injects powerful momentum into industrial transformation and life improvement. In recent years, the motor industry has witnessed numerous world-first achievements from innovative products setting new energy efficiency records to cutting-edge technologies pushing the limits of rotational speed, all showcasing the sector's vibrant creativity and limitless potential.
--TJ4 Series High-Efficiency Motors--
On May 8, 2025, the TJ4 Series High-Efficiency Motor product launch was held. This marked the global debut of IE4 energy-efficiency-class motors compliant with Japan's JIS standards. The series fully meets IE4 standards, utilizing new technologies and processes. Prototypes for 2P and 4P models ranging from 0.75 to 200KW were developed, with tests confirming compliance with IE4 efficiency and JIS performance metrics.
--Next-Generation Non-Oriented Silicon Steel and "Super Motors"--
This is a next-generation non-oriented silicon steel used to manufacture "super motors".With a thickness of just 0.1mm, it reduces the core loss value—a critical metric for non-oriented silicon steel—to below 9W/kg for the first time, breaking a long-standing industry bottleneck. Leveraging this material, Baosteel has collaborated with partners like United Electronics to develop a groundbreaking "super motor" achieving a record-breaking speed of 31,000 rpm.

--World’s Largest 105 MW High-Speed Motor--
In 2025, China independently developed the world's largest 105 MW 2-pole high-speed, high-capacity synchronous motor-generator, "Chu Long 105", which passed technical review. With fully independent intellectual property rights and internationally advanced technology, it reduces space occupancy by over 40% compared to conventional multi-motor systems of equivalent power. When integrated into compressed-air energy storage systems, it boosts regional renewable energy grid integration by 15%–20%, with an estimated annual CO₂ reduction of 500,000 tons.

--World's Smallest Linear Vibration Motor--
We achieved mass production of the world’s smallest linear vibration motor for smart wearables. Measuring just 4mm in diameter and 1.3mm in height, it features innovative micron-level electromagnetic coils and vibration structure design, shrinking its size by 80% versus comparable products while delivering a 0.01-second ultra-fast response and superior energy efficiency.

--Comau Hairpin flat wire stator complete line solution--
On July 17, 2024, Comau globally debuted its China-developed Hairpin flat-wire stator turnkey solution at the "2024 2nd ATC New Energy Three-Electric Intelligent Manufacturing Tech Week." The solution covers the entire stator manufacturing process—from wire forming, insertion, flaring, and twisting to laser welding, quality testing, and electrical inspection—ensuring high efficiency, flexibility, and performance in end-to-end Hairpin stator production.
--Xiaomi’s Super Motor V8s--
On December 28, 2023, Xiaomi unveiled its Super Motor V8s at the Xiaomi EV Tech Launch in Beijing. With a rotational speed of 27,200 rpm—then the world’s highest—it was entirely self-developed and produced by Xiaomi. Pioneering features include 960MPa special silicon steel sheets, proprietary stator-rotor design, bidirectional oil cooling, and an S-shaped 3D oil path. It delivers 578 PS max horsepower, 425 kW peak power, and 635 N・m peak torque, with 155 patents filed and 60 granted.
